Airplane Watching and Recognition

- Raytheon 1900D Airliner -

		The 1990D is a relatively small plane compared to an Airbus A330-300 or even a Bombardier Regional Jet. Section 135.107 of the FAR (The FAA general regulations governing flight operations) requires one flight attendant for airplanes having a passenger seating configuration, excluding any pilot seat, of more than 19 passengers. Thus, this plane having only 19 seats maximum, don't be surprised to find no flight attendants on board your next flight.

		The fuselage of this plane is also peculiar. The transverse section is almost rectangular. Only the top is more rounded. This distinguishes the 1900D from most of other planes with a circular transverse section giving them a cylindrical look. But not here...

		Well well! airAlliance has a new fin logo. Still a maple leaf but stylized. It will undoubtebly give better pictures than the Air Canada-like fins were the maple leaf is often undistinguishable.
