BAe-146 Northwest Airlines

The BAe 146 is a commercial plane with an unusual look. Four jet engines mounted on a high wing with a T-tail assembly, make for a easely recognizable silhouette. The pictures on this page show two different planes on final approach at Dorval International Airport.

The four jet engines mounted on a high wing with a T-tail assembly is a rare combination on a commercial airliner but it is found on a certain number of military transport planes.

See Lockheed's C-5 Galaxy. Confusion with a BAe 146 should not occur as the C-5 is almost three times bigger!

But my viewing spot was nice also... As was my sense of anticipation. (But don't ask for an encore of the head-to-head picture...)
