| The Bombardier Dash-8 and the ATR-42 are both look-alikes of the twin engine Dornier 328. The Dash-8 is easier to distinguish with its main gear retracting behind the engine casing. The Dornier 328 and the ATR-42 both have their main gear loged in pods protuding from the lower fuselage under the wings. This feature is absent on the Dash-8. The Dornier 328 and the ATR-42 both have a tail cone as a noticeable feature. The pointed wing tips of the Dornier 328 and a "hump" extending from the top of the cockpti to the wings are distinctive features of the Dornier 328. | |||||
