The machining lab. Here is an example of a part "before and after". With the help of generous contributions from the private sector and the Quebec Government the École nationale d'aéronautique of Collège Édouard-Montpetit made the acquisition of the highly specialized software CATIA (Computer Graphic Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application). It is a very powerful software for computer aided conception and manufacturing, that represent and allows to work with objects in 3D. This software was developped by Dassault and is progressively being used by the aeronautic industries.
The following contributers made this project possible Fondation J.-A. Bombardier and entreprises such as IBM, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Air Canada, Bell Helicopter Textron, Rolls Royce and Héroux to which government funding was added. The Collège Édouard-Montpetit, its personnel and students also joined in financing this project.
