June 18th 2001

Week 51 of our follow-up of the building of a Pelican Sport from Ultravia Aero International Inc.

Sampling fuel Fuel visual check
Preparing for the second take off. Christian and Luc played heads or tail to determine who would go first. Christian won, Luc will be on board, copilot seat, for the second. The first flight was shortened to allow verification of certains elements. Luc should have a better opportunity to see the plane capabilites. Prior to the flight, Christian takes a sample for the right wing reservoir. A visual colour check is made. This procedure is repeated on the left side.
Waiting in line Full throttle!
Waiting to go on the runway. There he goes. Jean-Claude Pasquet near me cries out "Look at the front wheel! It's already off the ground!"
