October 28th 2001

Follow-up of the building of a Pelican Sport from Ultravia Aero International Inc.

Runway 28-10 Lachute Going in on runway 28-10 in Lachute.

A trainer glider has just been backed on the grass near the runway. Tractor plane is in our back and a second glider is near behind it.

Some pictures are double clickable to obtain a downloadable enlarged version (~250 Mo)

Taking a few more pictures of the plane here again while gliders continue their ballet over the field.
Some regular visitors may recall they wanted this plane to be pure white. Nose decal are a souvenir of their participation at Oshkosh AirVenture this summer. It was the demo plane for Ultravia Aero International for the Air Master propeller manufacturer.

They told me that landing there was a memorable feat!
Luc and Christian seemed to really appreciate.

From Lachute we will go to Lake of Two-Mountains and then to the Mercier bridge on the St-Lawrence River. Dorval tower grants us permission for a city tour at 1500 feet.

Mascouche
Back to Mascouche. The first exit taxiway is the one we will be taking. This plane can take-off on short distances but it can be precisely put down on very short distances also.

OK Christian I'm impressed.

But some merit goes to the plane...
