Building a Pelican (October 21st 2000, part 2)

October 21st 2000

Week 16 of our follow-up of the building of a Pelican Sport from Ultravia Aero International Inc.

wheel axlewheel assembly
Christian is making a wheel preassembly to proceed to the wheel cover assembly.

The right wheel cover with a opening cut permitting its assembly to the main wheel gear. The left one is already in place.

tail ground contact

It is important that the wheel cover does not come in contact with the ground if the plane tail skid does.

The plane is put to rest on the tail skid and a gap is maintained between ground and the wheel cover. This permits to mark the drill holes and proper fitting of the cover.
