Le Pelican de Luc Couillard et Christian Godin

Building a Pelican (September 4th 2000, part 2)

September 4th 2000

Week 10 of our follow-up of the building of a Pelican Sport from Ultravia Aero International Inc.

As I was filming those parts I remembered reading that this plane was equipped with a "bungee" type strut.

partsLuc

Luc explains that the term "bungee" refers indeed to a "giant elastic" (like those equipped with hooks at their end and used to hold down baggages for example). This one will be installed on the front wheel strut and fixed to a part on the front of the fuselage. The bungee will act as shock absorber.

Christian

Christian is giving a final close look to the main landing gear legs and their casing.
